Amta Road Project, located in the Amhara region of Ethiopia, traversing the Blue Nile Valley from the town of MOTA in the south to the town of JARAGEDO in the north, covers a total length of 63.04km.
The camp covers a total area of 45,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 2,700 square meters. It is divided into five areas, including the repair shop (equipment parking area), the office area, the living area for Chinese personnel, the supervision camp and the local workers' camp from right to left.Among them, the Living area of Chinese personnel has set up a separate enclosure in the whole yard, which is an independent enclosed area, which not only guarantees safety, but also provides a quiet and comfortable environment for employees to rest, free from interference of external factors.
The camp is located on a slope with a slope of about 8-10%, with smooth drainage and no damage from floods, mudslides, landslides and other natural disasters. The top of the slope is at the back, while the valley of the Nile is at the back. There are strong mountain winds and valley winds in the morning and evening, and the top of the slope at the back effectively blocks the impact of strong winds on the camp. The campsite is located on the left side of the road, about 100 meters from the main line, which facilitates the management of the site construction without being affected by the construction.
The camp covers a total area of 45,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 3,000 square meters, including 230 square meters for office area, 450 square meters for accommodation area, 150 square meters for kitchen and living materials warehouse, 500 square meters for warehouse and repair shop, 1,200 square meters for supervision camp and 430 square meters for local workers camp.
The dormitory is equipped with an independent toilet, which is equipped with water heater, washbasin, toilet, wall mirror and other necessary living facilities.
The staff canteen covers an area of about 80 square meters and is equipped with 3 tables that can accommodate 10 people respectively. The kitchen is equipped with boiling water and disinfection cabinet to provide necessary sanitation environment. The food warehouse is equipped with several refrigerators and freezers.
The project department built a standard basketball court in the living area
Since the camp is located on a half slope, drainage plans were planned at the beginning of the construction. Drainage along the slope was used and gutters were reserved. Trenches were dug around each house to divert water into the main gutters into the natural water system.
