1. Function-Based Camp Planning
The camp is organized around clearly defined functional zones, including workforce accommodation, office areas, dining facilities, recreational spaces and supporting areas. This structured layout helps separate living, working and leisure activities, supporting more efficient daily operations across the camp.
2. Modular Buildings Configured for Each Use
Housing systems are selected according to the specific requirements of each functional area. By matching building solutions to accommodation, office, dining and recreation needs, the project creates more practical spaces and improves the overall living experience for on-site personnel.
3. Integrated Safety and Protection Measures
The camp incorporates comprehensive security measures, protective shelters and other safety-focused facilities. These features help create a more secure Oil and Gas Camp Accommodation environment for construction workers and project teams operating in Iraq.
CDPH delivered an integrated Oil and Gas Camp Accommodation solution for the Zubair Mishrif Degassing Station Expansion Project in Iraq. Designed to support demanding on-site operations, the modular camp provides a practical, safe and comfortable environment for project personnel.
Serving a major oil and gas infrastructure project, the camp combines workforce accommodation, office areas, dining facilities, recreational spaces and supporting facilities within one coordinated layout. Different housing systems were selected according to the functional requirements of each area, helping the client create an efficient and people-oriented camp environment.
Oil and gas projects require more than temporary buildings. They require reliable camp infrastructure that can accommodate workers, support site management, provide daily services and improve safety in demanding construction environments.
For the Zubair Mishrif Degassing Station Expansion Project, CDPH developed a modular camp solution based on the operational needs of the project team. The camp was planned as a comprehensive living and working base for construction personnel, integrating residential, administrative, dining, leisure and safety functions.
The well-organized layout helps separate different operational activities while supporting efficient circulation across the camp. This approach provides personnel with clearly defined spaces for rest, work, meals and recreation, contributing to a more orderly and comfortable camp environment.
The camp includes multiple functional zones designed around the daily needs of construction workers and project management teams.
The accommodation areas provide modular living spaces for project personnel. Housing systems were selected based on residential needs, helping create practical and comfortable spaces for daily rest.
Dedicated office areas support project management, administration, coordination and other on-site operational activities. These spaces provide a working environment for the teams responsible for project execution and camp management.
The camp includes dining facilities to support daily catering services for residents. This functional area helps meet the meal requirements of workers and staff living on site.
Recreational spaces are incorporated into the camp layout to support worker well-being and improve the overall residential experience. These areas provide personnel with space to rest and unwind outside working hours.
Additional functional areas are configured according to the operational requirements of the camp, helping ensure that the site can support daily activities in an organized and efficient manner.
Different modular housing systems were selected according to the specific requirements of each functional zone. Rather than applying one building type across the entire site, the project used suitable housing solutions for accommodation, office, dining, recreation and supporting facilities.
This function-based approach improves the usability of each building area and helps create a more suitable living and working environment for personnel. It also enables the camp to better support the practical demands of an oil and gas construction project.
As an integrated Oil and Gas Camp Accommodation solution, the project demonstrates how modular buildings can be configured to meet the varying needs of a large-scale overseas engineering camp.
Safety is an important consideration for oil and gas construction projects. The camp includes comprehensive security measures, protective shelters and other safety-focused facilities to improve protection for construction personnel.
These safety features were incorporated into the overall camp planning, helping create a more secure environment for people living and working on site. By considering both operational requirements and personnel safety, the project provides a stronger foundation for stable camp operations in Iraq.
